About Roman's Writing Workshop
My promise
I'm going to be the best writing teacher I can be. My class rules are to take care of each other and make good decisions. Other than that, we're going to start with the basics and build up from there. Sharpen your pencils and get some lined paper -- this is going to be fun!
My approach
I use my 5th grade class photo for a lot of avatars because it reminds me that I'm still that little guy somewhere inside. If you don't know what I mean, read Sandra Cisneros's short story "Eleven". This is also the average age of my students. So much of what I am doing is teaching the way I wish I had been taught, earlier in my life. I have sought out techniques to be the best I can be and I'm happy to share!
